May day, May day !!!


The Roundtable is an opportunity for the working people of this region to hear from one another about their advances and challenges since last May

Day in order to unite their struggles in the coming year. The Ontario Seconadary School Teachers Federation District 9 along with the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario Greater Essex are hosting their second annual Workers Roundtable as part of the Mayworks Windsor.

Vice President, John Toth spoke about the gains made for saftey because of the support of the labour community. More info on Uber Problem

Nicole Simpson, Local Health and Safety Committee Chair, spoke out about the 2017 3rd annual Justice for Injured Workers bikeride, asking for support for the upcoming event with ONIWG, she will be representing Windsor in the upcoming ride:-) The forms are located here

I spoke about the reality of the injured worker struggle and offered solutions (working while injured) and unity because injuries do not discriminate. The event was elightening, it became apparrent early on, the enormity of the attack on workers. We will not be able to turn the tide divided.
